‘Collecting twigs for the fire’ 2023 Creswick Dja Dja Wurrung Country

Back in 2015 we were living in a very old and cold miner’s cottage with only a fire for heat. I would set out in the freezing cold to stock up on twigs to get our fire going with. Creswick forest was the usual destination. It was tiresome work but also beautiful and I would admire the rich colours of the bush in winter.
